Sodium Benzoate

Origin - Spain

Sodium benzoate is produced by combining benzoic acid with baking soda, soda ash, or lye

This man-made preservative is a gentle alternative to ingredients that we avoid in all formulas, such as parabens, methylisothiazolinone (MIT), and phthalates.

It is allowed in organic certifications, and the FDA classifies it as safe for use in cosmetics.

Sodium Benzoate is a mix of organic acids. It has strong broad spectrum efficacy. Fully effective in anionic, cationic and nonionic systems. Suitable for certified natural cosmetics.
